I'm just bad at promoting myself, so I don't post often unless I'm actually being creative. Lately my energies (when I have them, because shoulder) have been poured into working on book two, now that book one is finally out. Weee! But I hope now that my shoulder is healing to ART again!

No GL/Yuri in the story, but I do have an Ace/Bi couple as well.  

I've been wanting to write a book since I was....well grade school age honestly, but my mom strongly discouraged me in High School when I started feeling like maybe it was something I could really do. At the time, the publishing world was very, very different and the chances of me actually getting published were nearly nil. I still kick myself that I let her talk me out of writing though, because if I'd been practicing all this time, who knows how much better my writing would be now. Oh well. All I can do now is keep going with it. I wrote the first book with a firm enough end point that it could stand on it's own, because I wasn't sure if I could get a publisher to take on a multi book series, but when this publisher put the book up, they listed it as book one of the Journey Series.....implying they are totally willing to take on book two. *frantically working on book two now* hahaha. I'm about half way through writing book two. ^^ I've got several other stories that I started in the past, including a BL Beauty and the Beast retelling that I'd love to polish up, finish and get out there too. So...I'm gonna keep going. As long as they will keep publishing my books, I want to keep writing. But I doubt I'll be able to sell enough to make money from it.

I loved looking at your cosplay photos. You're really pretty. I think your eyes are very capturing. -nods- Also you horse back ride! Ah!! I loved doing that in my youth. I had to stop due to money but I wish I could have continued. Are those your horses?

I'm sorry that your mother discouraged you. I don't understand why parents would do that with a child when they take a interest in something and thrive in it. I wont pry with that but I'm happy you started up again and you put out a book.  
BL beauty and the Beast???? <.< -Rather interested in that- XD That's rather funny you mentioned this because I was watching the animated Disney version last night. Maybe this is a sign that I should read this BL version. 

You never know. Why not sell them at anime conventions? I saw Oregon has a lot of conventions out there. You can set up a table and sell your books. It's BL and it's pretty popular in the anime world. Lots of fujoshi, ya know?

Ahh, thanks! I'm still a cosplay noob, but I'm learning!

I understand why she did. Hell, my own son (he's 12) wants to be a Youtuber! Which I'm not going to completely discourage him on. In fact I was trying to encourage him to gain more real world experiences if he wanted to do such a thing, so that his channel would be interesting and unique, instead of just a rehashing of other people's opinions and content. But the first gut reaction I had was just to tell him hell no. This is a current, trendy fad thing and he needs to be more reasonable minded when planning for the future. The only reason I didn't totally discourage him from it though, was remembering how it felt to have my creative passions squashed. No matter whether he is ever able to make a living at it, those creative endeavors will be important to him. A way to express himself and work through/deal with his emotions. So I want it to continue to be something positive in his life. /blathers on like an old lady.

I could link you to it so you could read. It's in my Google Drive, so that makes it easy to share with people, etc. But I'd need an email address from you. (to share to). It's not finished. It's really stupidly close to finished and I can't quite get the ending right. Well...when I originally wrote it, I went for a look for the human version of the Beast that I didn't actually like very well. Then I made a side character REALLY hot. This was problematic....I started shipping the wrong pair, haha. I started to go back through and fix this, but never finished. Shoot, I'm not even sure what state I left it in after my re-writes. 

My goal, is to get enough books out there and published that a publisher will start printing actual paper copies of my books (instead of just ebooks) and then I can go man a booth at Yaoicon in SF. I met two of my favorite author's there and it was amazing! I'd also like to do a print book with my own illustrations in it some day. But that's all in the future. This is just the first step getting started!

Oh no! I'm so sorry you were sick!! Glad you are better now. I was sick myself over the holiday. The flu viruses this year were extra special weren't they? 

So...it's been so long that I'm not entirely sure of the news I was going to share with you, hahahah, but I'm assuming it was that I have finally been accepted by a publisher for my book! *silent screaming*

I'm on the road to recovery. Though having essentially a week off with no barn chores (because I was too sick to do them and so my friend was covering for me) and sleeping most of that, so that my body became sore from too much inactivity....and then going back to doing the extremely taxing barn chores.....OWWWW. I'm in SOOOO much pain right now. I've got to get my muscles back up and in working order. Hahahah! Ow, ow, ow, ow! But otherwise I'm slowly but surely getting better. (And I hear you on the headaches. I suffer from regular headaches as well as migraines. )
I demand no more nasty flu bugs for either of us for the year! Hmpf, hmpf! 

Well they sent me a contract for it last month. I'm supposed to get the edits I need to write sometime this month. So I'm not sure how long that will take. I'm totally new to this process so it's intimidating but exciting.

I've no idea how much editing I will actually be doing, hopefully it's not too much. I'm also unsure how long it will take after that before the book will be out. It will only be in digital format, so I'd think it would only be the time to get the cover finished...right??

I'm so bad at waiting, haha. But this has been a lovely lesson in patience. She said shortly after I submitted the edits that they looked good, but that she'd have to properly review and that would take time, so to give her a week or two and she'd either get back to me, or it would go on to the line editor. O.O Progress!
