Don't let others decide what your destiny will be, not even your parents. If you truly love art and want to make it your career (and believe me, it HAS to be your passionate, you gotta love it, it's not JUST a job) then do what you want! If you wanna be an artist, don't let ANYONE stop you, because believe me, A LOT of roadblocks are set up in this life (not just for your career) and it's up to YOU to work through them for the thing you really want to do.
