Hello, I am a comic book colorist. Thanks but no not really. On my YouTube, I have tutorial on how I flat my pages before coloring. youtu.be/gq8-CVD1OIc These is no wrong way to color an image as long as you understand the rules of color theory, give it a google to better explain.
Also, if you are really interested in learning comic art techniques, look up How to Color Comics the HiFi Way or head over to K. Michael Russell's DA page kmichaelrussell , both places have great instructions that help set the base for my coloring.
