Dude...your artwork is mind blowing.
I was wondering if you would mind if my band, The Monarch Phenomenon, could sample some audio from your work, or equally useful, you could write something for us (you would get credit for it of course.)
The new album we are working on, From Chaos comes Sanity, is about depression, the flaws of mankind and our collective and slow decent into insanity through the mediums of the media, technology, religion and our own genetics. Would you be interested in helping us out?

I really appreciate your saying so. It means a lot to me to hear that, and especially because I'm not actively acquainted with you and your work.
I wouldn't mind, but I would say it depends on what you'd be sampling, and what parts, because I myself have used sampled items in some of my work, and I wouldn't want you to get in trouble or have to scrap something if at some point either of us became successful and you know, etc.
So just let me know what you're thinking of using! I would love to help.

Well, from what I've seen, some of the audio from Instance of Spirit and Fallen are very interesting and fit in thematically with the second album. There are a pair of short, scene setting instrumental ambient tracks called Chaos Edge 1 and 2 that might benefit from samples/quotes from them, or they could be useful as parts of intros to some of the songs.
For example, there's also a long, multi part song on the album called "Tale of a Broken Man." It tells the story of a man who has a split-personality disorder where the second personality tortures his "normal" self. It torments his mind and body by periodically taking control and making him do things he doesn't want to do. The more he fights it, the more aggressive it becomes. Eventually it forces him to do the unthinkable: it makes him kill his friends and family and forces him to watch though his own eyes. And just to finish his torments, rather than let him take his own life, it turns him into a mental institute and leaves him to rot.
It's grim, I know, and perhaps slightly cliched, but the album touches on more subtle forms of madness and chaos elsewhere (religion, modern eccentrics, paranoia, OCD, and so on.) This, however, is not a subtle story and it is not a subtle song. There is no happy ending and no way out for the nameless protagonist. Sometimes, people needlessly suffer. It is just the cruel hand that fate deals us. That's the closest thing to a moral that his story has.
I say all this because "TOABM" has an intro sequences that is an instrumental currently, but I would be interested to see what someone like you could come up with to add to the story. Some reflective spoken word would be effective for it. I mean, I could write something myself (since I write all the lyrics to all the songs and pretty much structure each album,) but it would also be interesting to see someone else's take on the story.
Of course, this is your work we're talking about, so if you aren't comfortable with any of this, please let me know.
It is at this point that I realize that I have gone this far without even letting you hear some of the music we have created. Do forgive me: [link]
That's the first album we have written (which you can download for free.) Admittedly, the second album will be much darker in its themes and musical style, but I hope that gives you some idea of what we are like. We've recorded a few instrumental demos for the second album too, which you can find here: [link]
Finally, if I may be so bold and pretentious; if you ever want to sample any of our music in something YOU are making, don't hesitate to ask!

Alrighty, got to sit down and listen to your work!
I enjoy what you're making. I like that you're putting thoughts into the concepts of the work, and I am definitely intrigued by the themes.
I would be entirely happy for you to sample my work and use it in yours. Is there any particular way/format I should give it to you in?
Obviously, and this is just credit-where-credit-is-due, there'd have to be a note in the production notes about each sampling, listing me as the source, "Matthew Cicero/Complete Destruction," my facebook address (facebook. com/completedestruction) and the name of the piece the sample is from.
If I can apply your work to something I create, I will certainly get at you about it!

Well, I hope you enjoy what we have done so far! The second album is supposed to be in production, but due to obnoxious changes in the lives of me and Infamous (the other member of the project) we will be lucky to have it finished before Christmas.
Don't worry about providing anything; we have software that can sample audio from youtube videos.
Thanks for all the details as well. We shall be sure to include them. Is there anything else you might want? Youtube page? Deviantart name?

I do enjoy it! You've got some pretty great production so far, and I can't wait to see what you pull through with next.
If you wouldn't mind including my youtube and dA names, that'd be awesome too.

I have some bad news actually
The band has dispanded for at least a few years due to Infamous, the other member, moving away to another university.
We will get back together, but I dunno how long it will take.

The samples we used from audio (thanks again for that) can be heard on our second album. Should I send you our bandcamp link too?
