I found a story that I think you might like. Depending on if you like history, specifically the last year's of the Roman Empire. A story of a man named Stilicho, a half Roman and half Vandal general who tried to mend a large empire. Only to fall from the political scheming from the very home he had always been loyal to.

Hmmm... difficult thing to explain. I like horror games, I like dark games, I like open games, I like games where
your choices are important, I like games with a deep story... I am very eclectic, so I think a list of
games I like would talk better than me:
The Evil Within ( 1 and 2 even though the first one is still my fav ), Thief, The Last of Us, Saints Row 3 and 4,
Beyond Two Souls, Detroit Become Human, The Wolf Among Us, almost all of the Assassin's Creed,
The Witcher 3, some of the Resident Evil, Watch Dogs 1 and 2, Skyrim, Life is Strange, Outlast, Dream Daddy
( don't judge me I love this game, I am falling for Robert Small xD ), The Sims 4 ( I needed to put a casual one here )
Overwatch... And I think this is already a big good list.

You know, I never really got into horror games. Except The Walking Dead Telltale series. That had both horror and great story telling. As for me. I would say a game full of action, adventure, fantasy, sci-fi, and free roam(that isn't just empty space). I tried to play Assassin's Creed, but I suck at stealth. It's too damn long to wait to kill my enemies. I only do that when I'm completely outnumbered and outmatched. Or if I'm Batman.
These are the games that speak for themselves. I have to warn you. It's long. Since I have a long memory.
Simpsons Hit and Run.
SpongeBob Battle for Bikini Bottom and Movie Game.
Fairly Odd Parents and the Shadow King. (Mostly for humor)
Final Fantasy X and X-2( First one is my all time favorite PS2 game. While the other is a proper sequel)
Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy game. (Lots of violence.)
Sly Cooper 1-3( Great adventure, humor, and characters.)
Saints Row 2, 3, and 4 (Although I do like the 2nd more, when it comes to the music track.)
(Get ready) Sims Bustin Out, Sims 2, Sims 2 computer series, Urbz Sims in the City(dated, but still enjoyable), and Sims 3 Computer.
Pirates of the Carribean Online.
Red Dead Redemption 1 and 2.

I'm surprised the price hasn't lowered slightly. Especially since the year is almost over. I got out as soon as it came out. I played the first one, and immediately got hooked. I don't want to spoil anything. But I will say that it is defiantly worth playing. As you plunge into the twilight years of the old west. Where the law finally catches up to close the frontier. In the world of civilization. I did recently get a 12 month deal from the PlayStation store, for $40. I thought I would at least try it. I don't know for sure if there is crossover for Red Dead Redemption 2, due to Sony's reluctance to do so. But if there is. Then I wouldn't mind playing with you.

Hey, remember that time that I said that I have The Last of Us game. And you wanted me to tell you what I thought of the game, after I played it? Well I finally got around to playing it. I have to say that it surprised me. Especially when it was 20 years after the outbreak started. Even the ending. Which still makes me wonder. Like did Joel become crazy? Was it just a shot in the dark from the Fireflies?Β
Then I thought about the ending further. And I came to this conclusion. Ellie never got the chance to choose whether to go through with it or not. I mean she wakes up and tells Joel about her friend. Then wants him to swear that everything he told her was true. That's just my interpretation though.

Well actually, Joel didn't become crazy or anything. He just loves Ellie too
much. She became his daughter. He couldn't afford to loose her. If it was
sure that she would survive through the surgery, maybe he would have
let them do it and find the cure. If Marlene had let him say goodbye to Ellie
and hear from her that she was willing to sacrifice herself to help find the
cure, maybe he would have let them do it. If Ellie was even consenting to the
surgery, maybe he would have let them do it. But she wasn't. And even though
finding a cure would have maybe save the world, it wasn't even sure.
Joel knew they could live a "normal" life with Tommy. And Marlene and the Fireflies
threatened him.
He could take it. He wanted her to have a choice and not die like this after everything
they went through. He loves he like a daughter and wants the best for her. And this
wasn't the best.
Now why did he lie to her ? To protect her. She was feeling bad about what happened.
The fact that she wasn't with the fireflies, helping to find a cure. He wanted to help her
not feeling bad about it, and find a new thing to fight for. She feels bad, but she don't
even know what was going to happen to her. She's tired of running, and maybe for a
moment, probably wanted to end this ( that's just a theory). So she talks about her dead
friend ( you should play the DLC to know more, unless you want me to talk about it), and
how they were supposed to die together and that she somehow wants it. But Joel doesn't
want to loose her. She is his new reason to fight. He wants to protect her, to keep her. Even
if that means lying to her.
That's my point of view.
Now I am not sure about it, but in the trailer of The Last of us 2, I think Ellie wants to kill every last members of the Fireflies. Probably because of what Joel said. Or maybe at has something to do with her mother....

Ok. That does make more sense. Given the fact that Firefly was a desperate group that seems to wanna take the cure for themselves. I kind of got a strange vibe from them. Like they wanted to take over. It failed horribly. Most likely due to a present of shock all around the country, possibly the world. So by having a major advantage like a cure would possibly rally everyone to revolt against military forces. So, in a way, Ellie was more of a secret weapon against their so called oppressors. Which, honestly, can be anyone or any group at this point. Although that cure might have to come sooner or later. From what I can tell about these zombies. They're more like flowers. They pollinate from a dead rotting corpse or possibly from the zombies themselves. Forming a gas that could infect thousands, if not millions. It will cover the earth soon. But that's all theory at this point.Β
I did play the DLC. I have The Last of Us remastered. It was included in the game. It was a bit inconsistent at first. To the point where I thought it was the same mall from the one she was in before. What surprised me about the game the most was the bandits. They just kept coming after Joel and Ellie, ever since they were ambushed in that town. I was like, "Are they this pissed off for losing two people?" I mean seriously. They kept coming, over and over again. Despite all the bodies that pile up. It reminded me of Samurai Jack. When his dad told the monks, "Your decisions have lead you here. As have mine. I will give you a new choice. Leave now, and live, or stay, and face your destiny." Then out came the sick bastard himself. I'm glad Ellie killed him right then and there.

I just watched the trailer. It's anyone's guess. I theorize that she found her mother's diary, or some records of her past. And what she may have done to influence the creation of the cure. That would have taken years upon final completion. So a test was made on her own daughter. Which she disapproves. So they killed her. Which could explain Ellie's friend being a bit reclusive about her mother, in a way. What I believe is that Joel had saved her life, whether for better or worse.Β
