Hello! A year or so ago I ordered a synx custom and wanted a collar, but apparently you said that I had to ask chimerasynx for permission before getting a collared domestic synx, is that still true? There seems to be no way to really ask anymore, since they have stopped posting art entirely.

Yeah I would first message him personally to see if he is still active/keeping the species open, but if he never gets back to you and you want one badly enough, I do believe that the species is indeed open and you are allowed to create one yourself. Just follow the guidelines for the species on how to create them and if he ever does respond back, just check the reference over with him to see if it's all good. But that's only if you want it officialized. Really it's more of a "morals" thing than anything. I can completely understand your discomfort about making a synx if the creator isn't active anymore. I myself personally fell out of them so I am not too sure myself what's going on with the species as a whole anymore. I'm sorry that I couldn't be of more help to you!
