Ode to WatchersThis is inspired by RoulLetta's journal.
Faves are really awesome. To me, as an artist, that means that someone really liked my worked and will probably want to see it again.Β Comments are (just slightly) more awesome. That means (to me) that someone was moved enough by what I did to say something. Sometimes they want to know how I did it, or the back-story, or the future of a project. People who show active interest like that... I just love them.
But watchers... When some adds me to their watch list, what does that mean? It means they want more. They are assuming that I will 1) produce more work and 2) that they will enjoy it. Adding an artist to a watch list is like saying "I like what you do. I'm trusting you to do more." It's huge. I know it's easy and free to do, but when someone says "Yes, moar" to my work, it just makes me SO FREAKIN HAPPY.

Is there a way I can write a comment when submitting so you know which folder?

Yes. First, submit the work to your gallery. Be sure to add a description of your work. For example, when you submit a production photo of the Tempest,include everything you can about it in the description. Particularly include your relationship to the work in your description of the work you submit i.e. production photographer, set designer, assistant lighting designer, properties artisan, properties designer, publicity manager and so on.Β
You can also write a comment underneath your work after it has been put into your gallery. Then, when you submit it to our gallery from your gallery the information will be there.Β
If you are having trouble, you can leave it in a comment on the TheatreArtist's page. I can sometimes add the information (for other viewers to find) for you.
