Originally trained and rooted in surrealist painting and sculpture, Hannah Foley found she was pulled toward the field of photography where she now operates.

There’s an anthropological thread present in the work of Foley. Her subject-matter may dwell on day to day life but it portrays the most mundane in the most gratifying and exquisite cinematic manner. There’s a noticeable “pristine-ness” in Foley’s work.
