thank you! I don't use reference for the shading in particular (I just decide where the light hits and go from there) and use reference mainly on just the features of whom I'm drawing.

Doing an animation major. Its pretty epic, good drawing class.
The teachers are nice, but they compressed the 3 year course into 2 years so first year is a little rough, but good.
They really prepare you well for the outside working world thats for sure. You thinking of starting a course there?
