Oh! Not too far from me. I mean, geographically speaking. I was in Virginia, near DC, not too long ago for the Sonic Circuits festival.

I haven't been to DC lately. I hate the traffic. lol At least I can always take the Metro.

Yeah, that's nice. People complain about it all the time, but really the DC Metro is a good system. It's just pricey if you use it at the wrong times.

i used to live on the north edge of the Shenandoah Valley... do you have any photos of Bears Den or Raven Rocks?

Unfortunately no. I live a few miles from Skyline Drive though. I haven't been up there in a long time. I've been thinking about going up there to take some photographs during the fall. The trees are amazing during the fall.

isn't it the maples that turn bright yellow up on mount weather? I took some pics of those while driving after a rainstorm.... i lived right on the appalachian trail

I know we get a lot of tourists during the fall season because of the color of the trees are beautiful. That and the black bears. I don't have to go up on the mountains to see black bears though. We have one who visits our trash can every once and awhile.
