I was struggling with pencils, figuring that all the colours I have weren't fit for what I was drawing when I came across your work.... which made me feel like stopping and praying to the art gods. 

You have absolutely amazing pencilstrokesshadingcolourcordnationcapturedemotionandlighting.

You have made my day! Feedback like that keeps me drawing, I truly appreciate it. Thank you very much.  
Prismacolour pencils are the go. I was the same until I found these, they're a game changer. 
Also watching other artists, I can't recommend this enough. Don't be afraid to ask questions.

Keep up the good work, constant practice and not being afraid to make mistakes is the key.

Jealousy is good, it keeps us artists striving harder to be as good as others.
There's always someone out there better than you.

Good to see another fan of the Mortal Instruments too. I'll be posting some more fan work soon... of the Clockwork Angel series.

I was hoping to reply to this for so long, but unfortunately the most useful reply is by doing and learning from what you've said (which isn't very verbal---or written, in this case). So thank you.

   

I need to allow myself to make mistakes, certainly it's part of the problem. But the greatest gift would be confidence. I'm trying to draw an OTP Challenge but I'm terribly embarrassed by anything romantic. Not the best recipe. Still, there's so much to learn from the type of materials (drawn and used), the stubble hints of eye contact, the attempt at anatomy that I can't pass off the challenge.

I'm sure I'll like your Clockwork Angel work. I can already picture them being the posters for a Borgia's like drama.

Yeah, I haven't quite gotten around to changing what DeviantART's update has done to my page. 
Thank you, though. I can't imagine how you found me, since I'm basically a flea on the back of the Woolly-DeviantART, but sweet.

I'm flattered you read where your art was deposited. It really is enriching and your style is so distinct. 

Although you do not need to thank me for enjoying your art. I didn't buy it, you're not receiving a great sum from me, unfortunately. I'm kind of confused at Deviant ART artists for continuously thanking others for liking their art, since it only leads to the person who fav-ed it to have to go back, find the art, check the artists' profile, try to get a scheme of the person so that they may flatter them more about the art they've already fav-ed. Or perhaps that's just me, unknowing of how to reply to someone's 'thanks for the fav'. I feel so rude when I don't but I feel bothersome when I do.

oh no, i mean i haven't posted anything new in awhile, i'm glad that you like it so much. thanks a bunch ^_^! and i'm harsh on my art alot of the time, it's more of my motivater to get better .
