I'm guessing from all the pulp sketches you've been doing that you've been influenced by pulp magazines with stories by Robert E. Howard and the like. Right?

A little bit of Howard, certainly! Though the works I have of his aren't quite set in this time period, so...
Basically, I'm just mixing up a lot of old-time B-movie action concepts with selected bits of folklore and anything else I can find with a quasi-victorian flair. And then putting all that on an ice-age frontier. Until I come up with a good name to describe all that... ...'Pulp sketches' will have to do.

Ah, well they are pretty neat an original. I don't think I've heard of anything combining those. Have you ever read any of Howard's Kull stories? Are there any authors who wrote stories in pulp magazines that you would recommend?

Have I read Kull? I've got Del Rey's 'Kull Exile of Atlantis' book, which purports to be a collection of every Kull story Howard ever wrote!
As for other pulp, I'm afraid I don't have many actual stories... I'd certainly recomend Solomon Kane--another Robert E Howard character with a Del Rey collection. My absolute favorite of the Howard characters, actually. Set in Europe and Africa during the puritain era. At the risk of overhyping them, I really loved 'Red Shadows' and 'Wings in the Night.'
I also have a Harold Lamb collection. Stories about a cossak in the Russian steppes and the rest of interior Asia.

Ah awesome! Yeah I borrowed Exile of Atlantis from the library. It seems to be expensive to find on Amazon for some reason. I love the stories and the illustrations and it just has me wanting to read more from Robert E. Howard.
Also, thanks for recommending those. Unfortunately, the only Robert E. Howard book the library has is the Kull book so I would have to find the book online. I'm sure it's worth it though.

I'd really like it if there were more RiffTrax made for romantic comedies, because it would definitely expand their fanbase. Right now, the most they've done in terms of romantic films or chick flicks includes the Twilight series of films, along with The Lizzie McGuire movie.

So, while you're on the Star Trek kick, y'think it would be sufficiently fun/strange to do a 'Wars vs Trek' pic?
More specifically, the infamous 'pleasure' species of each standing opposite in the same pick. :3 The Zeltron of 'Wars and the Orion gal of Trek.
Behavior patterns are often somewhat similar; appearances and tactics are different.
Yargh. Perfectly understandable if you ignore or refuse of course. Good day to you either way. ^^

I'm so glad that you have a whole folder in your gallery dedicated to MST3K. It gives me a good, warm feeling to know I'm not alone.

Heh heh. Thanks. And if it makes you feel less lonely, the MST3K folder is probably the most-visited one in my gallery!
