good question... i would say more of the punk rock genre but some of the specific bands I like are my chemical romance, 30 seconds to mars, skillet, and the killers...

They sound pretty sick (skillet), just listened to Hero. You should check out Deftones, one of my fav. bands. I recommend Change, Be Quiet and Drive, and Rockets Skates.
