Well, I was on a adventurous ride brother, I've been through several mental institutions until they found the right treatment for me, I've been diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia. In my case the drugs work, I just have a flashback every 3-4 weeks with which I can deal with, the only thing that sucks is the gain of weight. This entire trip made my life a lot easier, I don't have to worry about bills, work or the police anymore, beeing officially nuts is like a complimentary ticket around here

Glad to see you're still around here Diego! It seems that a lot of people on my watch list left their account for good, do you have any suggestions for fresh blood?

my lates discovery is that guy , I like his use of negativ space and his papercutish arrangements but I guess you already know him? If you want to have a laugh browse his gallery. Josan Gonzalez is great and so is Pascal Campion, fantastic light arrangements, thanks man!

Man, that sounds like an adventurous ride indeed! First of all, I'm very happy to see you are doing better now, brother! And I get that you managed to take the situation with a bit of humor too, which seems healthy to me and a huge step forward in order to overcome the situation. I have to admit I'm quite surprised about reading what you went through, because last year someone I know went through a similar situation (and diagnosis), and I've followed the treatment closely (and met other guys as well at the mental institution, since I'd visit often for a few months), and like you said, finding drugs that work on each case is definitely a huge step forward in overcoming this and achieving a good life quality.

Yeah, I'm still around here, though in the last few years it seemed a lot of people left the site-- to be fair, I'm not as active as I used to be on deviantArt either, and spend more time on Facebook (where many people on dA went to as well... if you are over there, add me! ), so I'm not really updated!

Out of the blue, I remember this guy's (f1x-2 ) gallery, which I think it's great, but quickly going through my "favourites" folder ( diegotripodi.deviantart.com/fa… ) I get the impression that most pics are from artists that been around for a long while... so yeah, I'd need to update myself as well! If you come across some interesting gallery, let me know, so I can fix that!

Dude, I'm doing way better that before! Hope your friend does too? It helped me a lot to talk to people with the same diagnose and reading books about the subject matter. Knowledge, the right drugs and someone who can understand you is key to get back on track. I met my girlfried at the hospital, she lives 3 min away from me, how lucky am I? We nurse each other if one of us has the terror. There ain't much possibilities to threat schizophrenia besides occupational therapy and meta cognitive training, so you have to find a way on your own. Don't put all your hopes in doctors, they're just good for making suggestions and prescribing pills.

I'm not on facebook yet, maybe I change that this week, my anti facebook attitude is not that total dislike anymore

my pleasure Capn, I'm really in love with your S&M characters! I think they would also work great in daily lifetime situations, at breakfast with the family etc. that costume had such a bizarr, yet tragic hilariousness in itself, make more of them please!
