Did you know I only JUST saw the original Star Wars this year?Β At age thirty-four?Β Embarrassing, I know, but I am up to speed, but the fact I didn't see this as a kid?Β According to a mutual friend, someone failed me by not showing it to me earlier.Β
Carrie Fisher has a special place in my heart; she was bipolar...Β Β like me.Β I'm pretty well managed on my medications I take, but Carrie stepped up and showed me, yeah, princesses can be bipolar AND still find ways to save themselves.Β I loved how open she was about her disorder, how little she cared about what everyone thought about it.Β She wasn't afraid, and if she was, she did it anyway and never let anyone know she was; that's exactly how I want to conduct myself.Β She was a gorgeous woman, inside and out, and female role modelΒ to me who reminds me that even with bipolar disorder,Β I can still be a princess who is fully capable of saving herself, just like Princess Carrie.

I had forgotten how much I had always loved Han X Leia. I just needed that swift kick in the ass to remember them and love them all over again.
Carrie Fisher is just amazing
She taught girls everywhere how to be the perfect mix of tough, smart, ambitious, compassionate and loving. And also how to never compromise on yourself no matter how hard life turns out to be. I miss her so much and I know that my life would have been the same without her. Β

Hey, girl! I just wanted to say hello! I've been missing you a ton. I've been struggling a lot the last two years, honestly, in a lot of ways. I've not been online much or been doing so well with keeping up with my friends -- in person or online -- but I do think of you and wish you well. I'm going to try and keep in better contact but I hope that you will know that I love you regardless of any lack of contact. I'm just not the best friend some times. You are SUCH an important part of my life, still, and I love you unconditionally and unreservedly. Thank you for your support and love throughout the years.
